- If an image is offered, use the download link on this site.
- A phone will not add it to your gallery automatically. The iPhone and Android pages describe that limit.
One photo or several
A post with a single photo is the target of this page. A swipeable set of photos is a carousel, even when every slide is an image. You can paste either link; the result lists one item per slide when the lookup succeeds.
- Profile pictures and profile pages are not a target.
- Stories and Highlights are not offered.
- No print size or resolution is promised.
Questions
Can I save someone else’s photo because it is public?
Public means the lookup may be able to read it. It does not mean you have the right to republish it. Save only what you may use. The terms page says the same thing.
The image on screen is a preview. Where is the file?
Use the download link for that item. The preview is there so you can see which file you are saving. It is not a hotlink to Instagram’s media host.
