These answers follow the measured lookup. A public Reel, a photo, and a video file were saved. Stories and Highlights are not supported, because they need a login.
Before you paste
Copy the link of one public post. A profile, a sound page, a Story, or a Highlight is the wrong input. You do not sign in, and you do not give this site your Instagram password.
After you paste
A success is a list of files with download links on this site. Those links expire. A failure is a short message that tells you to fix the link, to check that the post is public, or to wait. The message does not repeat the link you pasted.
Questions
Which posts are the intended inputs?
A public Reel, a single photo, and a video file were saved. A photo carousel returned 8 of 9 slides. A mixed post returned every slide. Stories and Highlights are not supported, because they need a login.
Why was my private post refused?
Private, deleted, and login-only posts are meant to return an error. This site does not ask you to log in so it can see them.
Where does the file go?
To your browser’s downloads. Open it from that download list. The list is not the Photos library or an Android gallery.
Do you store the link?
The site's own statistics store does not keep the pasted link, the shortcode, your IP address, the raw user-agent string, or a visitor cookie. See the privacy page.
Does the site use cookies or Google Analytics?
The site's own counts use no cookie. In production an optional Google Analytics 4 measurement can load under the region rules: in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and unknown regions it stays off until you choose Allow in the footer; elsewhere it is on by default with a footer opt-out and stays off if this browser blocks storage; DNT and GPC always block it; declining or withdrawing removes this site's Google cookies. Are Stories and Highlights available?
No. Stories and Highlights are not supported right now. They need a login, and this site does not log in.
The lookup failed. What should I do?
If the text is not a post link, edit it. If the post is private or gone, pick a public one. If the site is busy or asks you to wait, wait and paste once. If the save link expired, paste the post again.
